Island Lake CPL Class
formerly known as Personal Protection in Home CPL Class
This course meets the State of Michigan requirements for the pistol safety training course required for the application of a Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
Students will develop the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense.
Time: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (7 hours classroom and 3 hours range time)
Cost: $150 - $50 deposit and pre-registration required; includes range fee
What to Bring: Eye and ear protection, pistol, 125 rounds of factory ammunition, notepad and pencil
Lunch: Bring your own lunch. The 30 minute lunch break will not provide enough time to leave the facility for lunch.
Optional: Snacks/water/pop. Light snacks and refreshments are available for sale inside the clubhouse.
Note: Rental pistols available on request for $25.00. Ammunition will be available for purchase on day of class. Be sure to tell cashier in advance that you need to rent a pistol.
