About Bald Mountain Shooting Range
Bald Mountain Shooting Range currently offers a 14 station sporting clays course, covered 5-stand, executive course, a rifle and pistol range with positions at 25, 50 and 100 yards as well as an archery range with both stationary as well as 3D targets. All facilities our managed by trained range officers, ensuring that all shooters are safe at all times. Sporting Clays
The one mile long sporting clays course at Bald Mountain Shooting Range features 12 - 15 stations. Each station offers four automatic clay target machines, each of varying difficulty. The sporting clays course operates using a wireless TargetKey system allowing the shooter the availability to shoot any combination of the four traps - whether it be singles, report pairs or true pairs. When you check-in at the clubhouse you are given a plastic key that counts each target that is thrown. The key plugs into a transmitter at each of the stations and allows you to launch your targets. This system also features a single shooter delay function. Sporting clays is among the most fun of the shooting sports because it presents the shooters with a large variety of target presentations and types such as rabbit, battue, and midi targets.

Executive Course Miniature Sporting Clays
Bald Mountain Shooting Range offers a 5 station covered beginner's sporting clays course known as our executive course. This handicap accessible course consists of two traps per station. A regular round on the executive sporting clays course is 25 targets. Each of the presentations on the five separate covered stations is set up for novices. Just like the sporting clays course, our executive course operates using the TargetKey wireless system. This course is great for introducing yourself, children, and friends to the fun sport of shotgun shooting!

5-Stand
The 5-stand at Bald Mountain Shooting Range is just outside of the main clubhouse. Our 5-stand is fully handicap accessible and covered. 5-stand offers 8 unique automatic clay target machines, making it almost like a condensed sporting clays course. Three levels of difficulty allow shooters of all shotgun abilities to have fun! 5-stand makes a great warm up before shooting our sporting clays course! One round of 5-stand consists of 25 targets, five targets from five stations.

Whether you are sighting in your rifle for opening day or introducing your grandchildren to your old 22 rifle, you'll feel at home and safe on the rifle and pistol range at Bald Mountain Shooting Range. The Bald Mountain Shooting Range boasts one of the largest, safest and best run public rifle and pistol shooting ranges in the State of Michigan. Our range offers positions at 25, 50, and 100 yards. The shooting benches are covered and handicap accessible.
